Sakita Watanabe’s increasing interest in museums and zoos led him to painting Japanese-style animals and figures. Sakita has been working to draw 10-minute gesture poses. He has also studied the heavy expression of Rembrandt lighting in both charcoal and acrylic.
Short biography Won honorable mentions for two paintings in Shizen (drawing from Japanese nature) Exhibition hosted by Japan Art Association at Ueno Royal Museum Selected in Kyokubi Exhibition and inducted as a Kyokubi Fellow in 2016.
