大泉 直人
Since his late twenties, Oizumi Naoto has painted in oil, mainly focusing on landscapes. Since around 2000, Naoto has been interested in China’s old towns, which are regretfully disappearing due to the country’s rapid economic growth. He enjoys depicting their white plaster walls and roof tiles. Naoto has joined TAL’s life drawing sessions since 2019 and enjoys creating figure paintings in oil and pastels.
Short Biography 2001-2007: Studied under Kawauchi Fumio (Kofukai Art Association fellow) and Koide Shigeko (Kofukai Art Association member) at the Gaco Painting School 1999-2007: Selected for the Western painting category of the Chiba Prefecture Art Exhibition 2003: Winner of the Abiko Mayor Prize in the Western painting category of the Chiba Prefecture Art Exhibition
